OUR REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 5 years' experience working in the construction / fit out industry as a Contracts/ Projects Manager or in a related role
  • Competencies in spoken and written English language
  • Demonstrable ability to successfully manage the delivery of a project/contract from inception
  • Demonstrable ability to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrable leadership/ management skills and commercial awareness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • It would be desirable but not essential if the candidate had experience working in the marine fit out industry.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of the contract on time, within budget and of excellent quality
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure the successful delivery of the contract and to ensure optimum use of all resources available
  • Prepare contract budget for presentation to the senior team
  • Provide procurement schedule including identifying long lead items and documenting materials take-off
  • Work with the other relevant departments to produce a realistic programme for contract delivery and ensure that the programme is adhered to by all relevant personnel
  • Chair weekly project status review meeting with relevant departments.
  • Provide weekly reports on project progress for review by senior team.
  • Ensure the provision of all required contractual documents such as technical information, sign off sheets, as built & sample files.
  • Proactive approach in dealing with any complaints or any outstanding issues in an efficient and effective manner
  • Ensure correct manpower is allocated to the contract to meet with requirements and manage variances in manpower
  • Ensure that all travel and logistical arrangements are sufficient for delivery to be as per the Customer’s requirements
  • Manage all Contractual variances to include adequate recording of variances and obtaining agreement on price by liaising with the relevant Company personnel
  • Identify subcontractors and agree favourable subcontractor terms
  • Manage the performance of the sub-contractors to ensure delivery of the highest quality of work at all times
  • Manage site installation process and site teams effectively
  • Adherence to company KPI targets and ability to achieve same
  • Responsibility for the overall health and safety requirements involved in delivering the contract
  • Provide leadership and direction to Assistant Contract Managers and all employees involved in the delivery of the contract
  • Worldwide travel in accordance with the roles commercial functionality which will involve working for periods of time on sites throughout the world
  • All duties commensurate with the Job Title as directed by Management.
