Northvolt is a European supplier of high-quality battery cells and systems, made in an environmentally sustainable way. The company was founded in 2016 with the mission to build the world’s greenest battery with a minimal carbon footprint and the highest recycling capabilities.

In the plant located in Gdańsk we produce energy storage systems and battery modules that replace internal combustion engines in industrial machines. Currently Northvolt Poland is increasing its manufacturing capabilities by building a highly-automated, state-of-the-art production plant.

With our rapid expansion, we are looking for Shift Supervisor for our new facility.

Key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the entire shift in accordance to safety, quality, 5S and production output on a timely manner
  • Planning, priority setting and team work coordination for a given shift
  • Striving to create positive and engaged atmosphere
  • Take lead in team building by giving support in recruiting
  • Suggest and implement improvements - individually and with your team
  • Very close cooperation & relationship with maintenance team, with a strong focus on common operational goals
  • Cooperation with other departments
  • Perform required tasks in ERP system
  • Supervision over production documentation, active participation in creation of such documents, procedures and standards during start-up phase
  • Ensuring compliance with all company policies including - but not limited to - safety, quality, output and attendance
  • Create and update development plan and competence matrix
  • Grow capabilities and develop employees, act as a training supervisor for entire team during start-up phase
  • Act as an expert in the assembly area when needed
  • Support priority setting for maintenance team, dotted-line supervision over maintenance technicians
Skills & Requirements
  • Technical School or technical bachelor diploma would be preferable but not a must
  • Min. 1 year of experience in leading a team/shift, preferably in highly automated manufacturing facility
  • Experience as an Assembler in manufacturing environment
  • Leading by example attitude
  • Extremely high safety consciousness
  • Outstanding quality awareness
  • Advanced English (written & oral)
  • Basic skills in Office 365
  • Availability to work on shifts in 4-brigade system
  • Willingness to take part in frequent business trips for training purposes
  • Ability to read technical documentation will be an additional advantage
  • Basic knowledge of mechanics, greasing, pneumatics will be an additional advantage
