NPI Engineer

Northvolt is establishing its first facility to industrialize and produce battery systems. In order to meet the increased demand for complete battery solutions on the European market, we are establishing a highly automated, state-of-the-art production facility for battery modules and energy storage solutions in Gdansk, Poland.

Currently we are looking for NPI Engineer who will be responsible for New Product Implementation process and engineering support.
- Support the introduction of new products, raw materials and processes - from introduction to release of full scale production
- Industrialization of new product by setting of process parameters and preparation of production process
- Keep ERP work orders up to date
- Improve the processes on the assembly line, specifying and/or redefining BOMs, work flow processes and detailed work instructions
- Create workforce estimates for given process
- Write material and equipment specifications
- Specifying tooling needs and commissioning of new tooling
- Plan and implement supply chain optimization projects
- Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to develop assembly and test fixtures
- Focus on material cost reduction, capacity enhancement, outsourcing of assemblies, etc.
- Ensure all changes are managed through the change control process
- Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
- Perform failure analysis for nonconforming components
- Ensure excellent, proactive communication with team and other departments
- Enforce safety measures, help assess risks and develop mitigation plans
- Technical education.
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in a production company
- Professional experience in process or NPI engineering
- Knowledge of Supply Chain processes
- Very good command of English
- Proficiency using Microsoft Suite
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 would be an advantag
- Highly organized and result-driven
- Ability to work under high pressure and tight deadlines, excellent time management
- Can do attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as independently
- Exceptionally good problem-solving skills and an eye for detail
